Default FEC-100 help

just bought a fec-100 on ebay...build date was 2007 and is slightly different fror the one i bought new last year. picked it up last night and immedialty threw some pellets in and tested it out. set it for the 224 degrees...well it reached 224 and kept on going until it hit 320...during this time i heard the fan blowing constantly as well as pellets dropping... finally when it hit 320 i heard the fan shut but the pellets continued to drop...any suggestions other than calling cookshack...anything to look for?
thanks

My FEC is a 2007 model with an IQ4 controller.

It never overshoots the set temp.
The fan "throttles down" as it approaches the set temp.

Sounds like a controller problem.

I would suggest you go ahead and call CS.
Something's not right and they will probably need to get involved to fix it.
Great ciustomer service.

Let us know what caused it please.

Good luck.

Call Bill Vice at Cookshack and have him get you a new board.

Which controller does it have, an IQ or a Traeger style. Reason I ask is the traeger style controllers, the fans blow all the time and do have a lot of overshoot.

Did you let it run for a while to see if the temps settled down?

If it's an IQ I'd call CS like the guys suggested.
