Default new to the realm

Hello everyone. I am pretty new to this realm. My experience is very small but I am thinking of building a UDS in the near future to start experimenting. I am 25 and from central IL. I want to get into sausage making and then smoking the sausage. I have only very briefly skimmed the forum and it looks like its full of information. Anybody local to central IL?
