Default brisket and pork together on BGE

12 pound Brisket and a 7 pound pork butt.

The brisket was put on at 7 a.m.
The pork has been on for about 30 min.

Planning on brisket for dinner then tomorrow is tamale day.

Niiice. The pan- I guess you're braising the pork- which is appropriate for tamales. Still gets all that smoky goodness!

I tried something similar with pork and it ended up rendering and overflowing the pan in a major way. Made my dog very happy to clean up when it spilled out the bottom of my bubba keg. You are smarter than me...you have a drip pan. ;)

OK, here is the brisket, pretty much 12 hours on the nose at 230 degrees.
Pulled at 195 internal. Its tender and juicy. Very tasty indeed.

That 12 hours includes the 1 hour wrapped in a cooler.
The pork is still cooking, but its at 190, so shouldn't be to much longer before it goes into the cooler as well.
