Default grillin' on a Weber Fireplace....?

uh huh.
Got it all hot & bothered this afternoon haulin' oak firewood feeding it scraps and bark and whatever was left... and as it was all burnin' down, i thought... why not? what harm could be done...?
so i check the size of the 22" cookin' grate and it looked almost perfect.
used two stainless steel rods i had laying around to secure the grate from fallin' in.

The risin' moon gave me the OK...

The victims tonight... two beautiful bone-in cowboy steaks
started with half-inch sliced red garnet yams...

after a while, the steaks were raised

(a little pecan wood was added minutes before the steaks were added...)

...sweet taters done an' stacked an' the Gene Autrys, well, they're nearly perfect! No great sear marks butt... look at those darlin's!!

...removed the swee'tas ...

...then the cowboys too... steamed some broccoli and plated the works.

added a little mango habanero salsa to the garnets... the Autry's were seasoned with Penzey's CSS...

It was a great supper after a long day and i didn't hafta fire up the Weber to cook it.... well, not really.
This is my first grillin'/smokin' post, hope i didn't "fark" it up
Thank you for swingin' by, I truly appreciate it!
Enjoy your weekend! And keep smokin'!

Good job! I have a fire pit that I use the same way. Those Weber grates come in handy don't they?

"size of the 22" cookin' grate" was actually a 26" cookin' grate.
One too many martinis last night.
Thank you all for the kind words
