Default Tel-Tru

I'm purchasing 2 Tel-Tru thermometers for my Backwoods Competitor. I know which ones I'm purchasing (3" dial and 4" stem) and need to decide between the anodized aluminum, black or glow in the dark backgrounds. Since, they should all perform the same, it's hard to want to spend the extra for the black or glow in the dark backgrounds. If anyone has the black or glow in the dark background, please let me know if you think it was worth the extra money. Thanks.

Here is the link to their website.

You know the glow-in-the-dark won't last (just like the stuff in a watch).

I bout a couple Tel-Trus, and I'm sure they did not have GITD or the black background.

White background on mine. I don't see any advantage to a black background. Glow in the dark depends on how your cook site is set up, I guess. I always have enough light to see my thermometers.

I used the anodized aluminum in my WSM. I think it has the best contrast and is the easiest to read.

The glow in the dark doesnt work worth a ship anyhow.
