Our Parish is having a 5K run in combination with a Rib Cook-off. I'm not sure if they could pick two things more opposite. But anyway, the date is November 6th. The payouts are horrible for the winners because it is a benefit for the church. So come and donate your money, cook some ribs, drink some beer, and have a good time.
For $30 you get supplied 3 racks of ribs. You turn-in a half slab for judging and the Parish will sell the rest.
