Contest Results Pickin' in the Panhandle: The WV, STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

Will I am back from pickin in the Panhandel,

saw Tuffy from pit masters there his rig Cool Smoke was 4 slots down from me, there were some awesome rigs there, The crew was a little intimidated at first but like I always say it’s not how big it is…it is how you use what god gave you! We did not place in the top 10 but we placed respectably in all categories for chicken we place 27, in ribs we place dead last but we are calling out KCBS on this and several teams are backing us on this as a bad call from a non qualified judge who based o large portion of his call on temp and wrote a comment card on it, said it was the best tasting rib he ever had but cold. On pork buts we placed 19th and in Brisket we placed 48th I thought it was a touch dry we had to hold it for a bit the smoker spiked (Ma the therm blew on it when we fired her up that morning) so we were taking temp from the stack with a thermometer) so over all position was 49th and there were 53 teams competing I do not think this was bad for a first time out I am looking forward to the Keystone classic in Harrisburg, PA in October.
