OVERALL — 1. Smoke A Fat One (Snohomish, Wash.), $10,000 grand prize; 2. TASTE-LISS Cookers (League City, Texas), $5,000; 3. Piggy D’s (Winthrop, Wash.), $3,000; 4. Prairie Smoke & Spice BBQ (Pilot Butte, Saskatchewan), $1,500.

CATEGORY WINNERS — Anything on a skewer: SouthPaw BBQ, Duval and Bothell, Wash. Apple dessert: Rogue Caveman Q, Grants Pass, Ore. Pork butt: Uncle Jeb’s BBQ, Maple Valley, Wash. Chicken: BBQ Bob and the ‘Eh’ Team, Whistler, British Columbia. Ribs: Stokin’ and Smokin’, city unavailable. Beef brisket: Smoke A Fat One, Snohomish, Wash.

WOW! What an event! Congrats to Steve (Smoke A fat One) for bringin' home the big bucks...great job!

Congrats as well to the Grand Reserve and Reserve winners...Taste-Liss Cookers, Darrel and Donna (Piggy D's), and Rob (Prairie Smoke & Spice) for an outstanding showing.

A big thanks to Christine, Tom, & James (Suzanne too) for all your hard work in putting together one of the best organized events this season. Last (but not least)...Thank You Tree Top!

Congrats to our local boys from Hayden, Idaho... Stokin and Smokin for 1st place ribs. Pretty dang good showing to be the very last team to enter and win against some tough competition. Larry and Pat, you guys should be proud. Way to bring home the blue.

Congratulations to all who walked! You competed with the best in the NW and came out on top! Did someone check on Pat and Larry, they seemed pretty high with that 1st place ribbon and check in their hand when the left Sunday night. Way to go guys, that is too cool!

This was the premier event in the Pacific NW this year and thank you to all who worked for months behind the scenes to make this happen. Thanks to the wonderful people at Tree Top Apple Juice for their hospitality.

What a fun weekend. See all you guys back in Yakima next year!

Yeah, Dave, I think Pat & Larry are still drunk! What makes that sweet is that these guys have come in Dead Azz Last a couple of times and we rib them about it all the time, so Pat got serious and made a new sauce (from scratch) that he calls Dead Azz Last sauce they also did their own rub. He had a restaurant owner offer to buy the recipe before he even won 1st place...
