Default Lollipop chicken practice

Did some lollipop chicken for Fathers day, figured while the butts were on we would practice for competition.

1. Prepped and rubbed the night before

2. After smoking with apple wood for 2 hours at 300

3. Sauced and back on the smoker

4. Off the smoker and resting for a few minutes

Only foil was on the legs. Didn't foil anything else during the cook.

Nice, what's the proper way to prepair the legs? Just cut the access skin?

What did the bones look like at the end? The skin/meat looks great.

Those look great. Always wanted to try these. What purpose does the foil have?

I think it's so that the ends don't burn and blacken.
