which Cambro to buy...

I have pretty much settled on the Cambro, now I am in a pickle as too which one to get. The 300 or the 400, the 400 is about $70.00 more than the 300 at my local restaurant supply store here in town.
Just wondering from the guys who have them, which one they prefer or wish they would have gone with.

We were recently making a similar decision but ours was between the Cambro 400 and the 400 S-series. A 300 is just too small for our needs.

We ended up finding a local catering business that was unloading some of their used Cambros and we found a 400 in excellent shape that cost us just $100!!! Craigslist is your friend.

If you have the space to spare for transporting the unit, buy a 400 and you'll likely not need another one anytime soon.

I have a 400 and three 300s... I use the 400 in comps and I just scored the 300s w/cart for $450, which should help with my catering. For $70 more get the 400 you won't regret it

Thanks Guys, what is the difference between the 400 and 400s? I tried to look but didnt see a whole lot.

The difference between the 400 and the 400S is that the 400 uses a gasket on the door and the 400S is a gasketless design. Other than that, they are nearly identical.

I didn't know anyone in the QCA sold Cambros. Where are you getting yours? Do you know the prices off hand?

Hey Monty,
Tri city equipment down on w 4th in Davenport. Talk to Terra.
The price on the 300 was $252.00 and the 400 was $320something.
They have everything, it is an awesome place! If they dont have it on hand they can get it in a couple days.
