Favorites:
My knives.
My Foodsaver.
My automatic oil filtering deep fryer.
My cast iron pan.

Least Favorite:
Bad potato peelers.
Cheese slicers.
And to make it easy, anything that is a pain in the arse to use as a left hander.
Which is why manual can opener didn't make it to my favorites. I can use the thing easily, but that doesn't mean I LIKE using it.

Hooray:
Heirloom Cast Iron. Can't beat 50+yrs of seasoning.
Kershaw leek (pocket knife). Some of the best money I've ever spent. Awesome to always have something sharp on ya when q'ing

Boo:
Quesadilla maker. Works great if you need to crank a ton out for a party... but cleanup for a single queso is not worth the trouble.

My favorite is my p-38 that I keep on my key chain and always amaze people when I use it, some of you may know what I am talking about.

Least favorite are stiff rubber spatula scrapers and the cheap plastic meat slicer my wife had when we got married some 26 years ago, its just dangerous and very annoying to clean let alone slice anything on.

As far as gadgets go I only keep what I like, however the wife collects used jars and drives me nutty. Favorites are French coffee maker, vacuum sealer, and the toaster.

What I really dislike is any cheap POS gadget.

First is my clamshell tongs(short and long),a metal pastry scraper(for scrapingmy walls from time to time),my handy dandy meat thermometer(from the Grocery Store-they are calibratable) and the top of an old dishwasher(makes a great prep. area-set it on a barrel or anything high enough to work comfy).I always keep Bleach water and Vinegar water for disinfecting.
The Wife got some Micro Fiber towels a while back and they are wonderful for messes. They soak up a lot of oil and spills, and wash out nicely but don't use fabric softner.
The rest is my outside equipment,is for the Smokers and Grill.Don't forget a fire extenguisher for those Uh-Oh moments...

Have fun and,

Favorite: Thermapen, ice cream maker (makes nice frozen drinks too), wok

Least Favorite: Anything I have to get out of the "junk drawer" If I designed kitchens, all the cabinets would be one can width deep and all the drawers 1" deep so everything is always "in front" or "on top.
