It's getting pretty sketchy south of the border these days. Lots of bad stuff happening to Americans. Please be safe.

Thanks. We are well aware of the violence and where it is. The area we are going is fine. We have multiple sources keeping us updated.

Kim,

Love you guys and all that you do. Coming from someone that lives in a border town, it's BAD over there right now. A few weeks back, the cartels set off a car bomb and targeted police with it in Juarez (just a few miles form here, literally) Tension is high everywhere. You can't trust the police anymore than the cartels at this point. Pretty much every town in Mexico is run by one of the 5 or so cartels. I'd REALLY like to convince you all not to go. Are you all driving or flyin in?
It's really not worth the risk at all right now. Where will you all be headed to if you don't mind me asking?
Take care,
Bob

Rosarito is a pretty place. The Rosarito Hotel is a beautiful old place. It's just going though Tijuana that gives you a clear picture of how nice it is to be in the good ole USA. Bad poverty in some areas. I believe Rosarito had a little Cartel gun battle a while back. They have no regard for life, men, women, children.

They are getting escorted into Rosarito, so they should be good to go. If I were not tied up that weekend I would be joining them.

I was just down in Mexican waters fishing last week.

Just a stupid question? If folks are getting escorted in... I would assume that is by the police or military? Aren't those the folks that the cartels are targeting? Just a thought.. just like I'd leave my AZ plates off my car.

Just sayin.

Its gonna be fun...I guess since I have been going to Baja to golf since 1994, specificly TJ and Rosarito it does not concern me like some of you, even taking my 84 year old mother teammate...Back when I was running and rippin I was in some nasty places down there that no sober person goes, seems I still have both hands and my head, if you are out looking for trouble it will usually find you, if not I really doubt the Cartels are looking to mess with a bunch of BBQ teams, and no, I wont be joining the Caravan LMAO on that one...Should I be worried about the Hookers and the KC Mob when I come to the Royal in October?
