I actually sent out the JV I-Que team this weekend :: Guess it didnt work out... lol

The boxes were absolutely horrible. Ribs were particularly fun. Besides being small in width, they were also short in height. Had to mow those putting greens on the shortest setting.

KCBS does not require the boxes to be 9X9, as many of us at the contest thought. They simply need to be "approved" boxes. "Each contestant must submit at least six (6) portions of meat in an approved container." I know the argument for those who thought the boxes were fine is that everyone is on a level playing field. But when you practice using a 9X9 box and you expect a 9X9 box at the contest, it can foul you up a bit.

We learned that our beloved MC is a "breast man", and I am not talking about his enjoyment of the 1st KCBS category.

The presentation was a running commentary on the physical attributes of all the females that came up for awards. It took creepy to a whole new level, especially when he announced he was single and looking for a date. (As far as I know, nobody sued, but I bet some people considered it.)
