While it might be a fuel hog, it's certain you have the 22" WSM dialed in. Definitely an awesome comp for WSM fans, with three of the top four teams using it. It was a pleasure talking to you and Vince Friday night, and I look forward to doing it again (probably in Mesquite).

Kristie's is going to be wonderful -- after high 90s in Pueblo this weekend, coming to mid-70s in Costa Mesa means I'd better bring sweaters!

While our team really did have a fine day, it should be noted that our friend and fellow competitor, Dave Malone and his "All Sauced Up" team have gone GC-GC-RGC in their last three contests. This is a major accomplishment and we'll be on hand to see if they can pull off four-in-a-row at the contest in Costa Mesa, CA June 11-12.

I made a post on the other forum, but got no response.......

Congrats to Vince and Alexa!!!!! We met Vince the first year we did Boulder City 4 years ago, and the rest of the crew over the last few years, and are always glad to see them.

The BBQ Nerds did ok for our first comp of the year. We managed to pull out a 5th Chicken, 16th ribs, 10th pork, and 14th brisket and a 12th place overall finish. It was great to hear our names twice at such a large event (most of the comps we do up here are much smaller).

Paul brought a full keg of beer again, wich ensured a lot of friends and visitors by the booth all weekend long.

We will be doing several more over the summer, and are looking forward to returning to Nevada for Smokin in Mesquite in September.


Oh, and BTW.... we will be first in line for that class!
