Default Competition BBQ 101 Class in Missouri

The Beta Beta Que Society ( Central Missouri BBQ Society )will be holding a 1 day Introduction to Competition BBQ 101 class on Saturday, September 11th. In Columbia Missouri. In this class you will learn the basics of Competition BBQ. We will cover the Long cook meats ( Brisket and Pork Butt ) and will actually compete against others in the class for Ribs and Chicken. Each person will be paired with a proven competion BBQ team for the day. We will try to keep the class sizes small ( about 5 to 8 people per team ) to give each person special attention. We will be paying special attention to KCBS rules and regulations, box preperation and presentation. Each team will turn in their efforts to the judges and be judged based on KCBS rules. We will have an awards ceremony and certificate of completion of the class. This event will be 2 weeks prior to Columbia's Roots N Blues BBQ contest. If you are a Back yarder who has always wanted to take things to the next level, this class is a must. We will be charging $ 100.00 per person. All proceeds go to the Beta Beta Que Emergency Responce Team. ( We travel to areas of Missouri after a natural diaster to feed the first responders and those displaced by the event ) Please let me know if you would be interested, as class size will be limited.
