I cant think why this wouldnt work....
You know the 18.5 cast Iron grates that they sell for the Weber Kettle. I am getting ready to replace mine grates in WSM 18.5. Anybody already done this?

The grates in an 18.5" WSM are not the same size. The lower one is smaller. I don't know if the CI grate will fit there, but it would probably fit on the top.
