Default BBQ Sauce. . .

Hey Yall~!!!

I know this might sound amateurish. . . But I need help with a BBQ sauce recipe. I have been wanting to enter a competition here in Kalifornia for a while. But do not have my own sauce. I have been using. . . (here's my confession) Bullseye (my wife likes it) for a while. I have been reading up on some recipies and they all seem to have ketchup in them. I wanted something slow cooked without ketchup. . . Can anyone help?

I use tomato sauce with no salt added instead of ketchup to my BBQ sauce I make. That way I'm able to control all wet and dry ingredients that go in it.
