Default Italian Burgers

I found a recipe on line, and thought I'd give it a try. It has a lot of ingredients and steps.
These are the ingredients for the herb butter

Butter ingredients from obove plus mustard

Hamburger ingredients..Coppa, HB, rosemary, chili flakes, s&p

Partially frozen and ready for final mixing

Obove, prosciutto to be crisp. Below toasted pine nuts.

Fried fontina cheese rounds

The assembled components, burger is a little rare.

Various shots

I think the shot above is my entry

Looks a little too rare, even for me!
You sure this was an Italian recipe. Looks more like a Tartar recipe.

Fantastic! That is one serious major eatin' burger right there!

Are you going to post the entry pic in the Throwdown thread too? I already know this exists, so I can use it, but had I not seen this thread I may not know about it unless it's in the Throwdown thread.

Other than the pine nuts, I'd hit it enough times that I'd look like a big gray tick.

Thank you, that's a good question.I think it was worth it. I made about a pound of the compound butter so that I can freeze. I'd change the recipe to include minced onions etc. to increase the moistness of the patty. I'd substitute ham or bacon for the prosiutto, substitute salami for the coppa, and the pine nuts are not really needed. So I'll definately make a quicker version again.

Phil made a forum for the Throwdowns, so the Throwdowns threads are now there instead of in Q-Talk. They may move back as a subforum under Q-Talk at some point, but for now they are in the Discussion Area.

Here's a link to the new forum...

No worries, some of us had been wondering if anyone would have trouble finding them, you actually helped by communicating you could not find them. I put a new thread in Q-Talk for anyone looking for the Throwdowns but not finding them. I wouldn't have done that if this hadn't happened, so this was a good thing I think.
