Default Brisket, or pastrami on top?

I'm going to smoke 2 3# pastrami flats tomorrow, and would like the brethren's opinion on which one should go on the top grate of the WSM. TIA

They are both briskets. Will they both fit on one shelf?

If they are both corned beef for pastrami why does it matter?

I was unclear. I have a 7# fresh brisket, and 2 corned beef briskets. They would not all fit on one grate.

Ah ha! Now I get it

I would put the uncured brisket on the top. The juices dripping from the corned flats will have the corned beef seasoning and salt in them and may affect the flavor of the uncured brisket.
