BBQ Pitmasters DVR Recordings.

in the past few months, there have been several offers from members to 'send a copy' of the BBQ pitmasters series that were recorded form home dvr or from the TLC websites.

These offers were removed pending word on the legality of distributing these homemade copies. There was a general feeling that since its available for public download on the TLC website that distribution should be ok. I contacted our friend, John Markus, who happens to be the executive producer to get clarification from the network. This is an excerpt from the response.

Just heard back from the network. Their position is a big "No". No sharing of these files is allowed, No downloading, and they have extremely stringent rules about that. Only streaming is allowed. No downloading of any kind.



I told the network you'd get right on it.

So, that's the stance of the TLC network, so please refrain from posting offers to send copies to our members. Obviously they will be removed.
