Default I did a jamie geer

OMG I put 3 slabs of rib on 430pm est came back in the house to clean-up. As I'm cleaning up I notice the rub I used on the ribs was cayenne pepper OMG. So I after 15 min I take them off put in sink wash them good. Lightly season with the rub I meant use in the first place and put back on smoker. Do you think I'll be ok?

Yep...let us know how it turns out

Since my original post (sentence above) wasn't much of a quality post, I'll add this: Should be alright if you rinsed them well. Wouldn't think TOO much of the heat would've soaked in that quickly. On the other hand, don't add a hot sauce @ the end and maybe a bit of parkay to help distribute the heat. Oh...and have a glass of milk ready when sampling.

LOL. I, too, would be interested to hear how it turns out.

You should be ok if you dried the ribs after you washed them.

Might want to add a little blues hog and honey at the end of smoke.
Just thinking a sweet hit would take away from the cayenne.

You didn't screw up. Just tell folks you invented a new "hot pepper dry brine technique". ;) :) ;)
