stubbs charcoal briquettes??? - Page 3

^^^^I wish I could find some...who sells them

All I have found is: Kingsford (all types) Stubbs, Cowboy lump (same brand), Walmart brand, Wegmans Brand, Royal Oak (same brand). Thats all I have found. But real wood is the way to go for me most of the time (Apple, Hickory, Peach, Cherry, and Oak) No Fillers in them! Plus I cut them!

^^^^ you make your own lump or just shovel hot coals into firebox? Both are impractical to me seeing I have a Uds

there is a place about 25-30 miles from me that sells this stuff. Nakedwhiz gave this really high reviews. Id like to try this too.

Heck, load your UDS up with wood as you did on your burn out, (not as much wood) let it burn down to a bed of coals, good to go. Add wood as needed. Might work, never tried it. (as long as you have a big enough basket) Maple would work great.
I add logs to my firebox as needed. I place them on top of the firebox to "warm them up" and just toss them in.

Works great in my offset, you can keep a fire burning forever as long as you have the wood.
