Very nice build, How did you remove the top?
I have a SS barrel I have been planning and I tried a drum deheader, but instead of the material puncturing, it just stretches. The nature of SS I guess, I plan to give cutting it a try.

This one has a removable flat lid with a locking ring. I plan to use that lid too.

SawZall (and ear plugs!) Get a pack of blades- I destroyed 3 cutting mine.

Very nice drum there... I hope to actually start looking for hte pieces parts to mine shortly - I have the drum but that's it...keeping it real simple the way I like it

So the Bar-B-Kettle bottom with the Rutland gasket is not fastened to the drum? It just sits on top of the drum like the lid?

It pushes down into the top of the lid and isn't permanently fastened. I will take a picture and post it.
