Default looking for suggestions for a cook

Hello all,

I have cooked more than my fair share of the usual stuff in the last year and I am looking to try something new. So far all I can come up with are Pastrami and buckboard bacon. I will be trying those but would like something else. Anyone have any ideas for anything off the wall or different?

Thanks

Try building a UDS! Sorry wrong thread...

There are plenty of things that can be done. Pastrami, buckboard bacon, sausage, MOINKS, get a dutch oven and do a roast, smoke a chuckie, try some seafood, smoke some cheese. Just look back throught the throwdown threads and that will give you lots of ideas.

I'v cooked Moinks, roasts, fish, shellfish, chicken, turkey, ribs, boston butts, sausage, abt's, smoked cheese, wings, fatties and probably something else I can't remember. I am looking for something odd to try.

About two years ago I added sausage making after a trip that included stops in Louisiana. It opens up a whole new world of chit to buy and play with.

How about pot roast? There is a very good recipe on the Virtual Weber Bullet site.

Marinated chicken livers and thigh skins - wrap liver and water chestnut with the skin then wrap that in bacon - can crisp up after the smoke on grill or under broiler.

Veggies can be smoked too. Tomatos for a salsa, sweet taters are great, I think someone did some brussel sprouts here once too that I found interesting. Cowgirl wrapped corn w/ bacon...

Not really odd, but how bout just a simple packer brisket. You could then use it for brisket chili and burnt ends, etc.
