Default Philly Drum Smoke + Christmas Turkey w/ PRON

Finally finished my Philly Drum Smoker. This is the 5th one I built now and I made especially for myself. Wanted something different that people would admire so I went with a Philadelphia Phillies theme. I think it turned out pretty nice. Also I have some picks of its maden cook....a spatched turkey and some ABT's. Sorry that the pics aren't all in order.

Charcoal Lighting

Spatched Turkey

Brining

Sorry for the bad pic

After an hour or so

Cruising around 300

Flipped tukey added ABT's

Go Phillies

I have to make them pretty. Its the artist in me. So I guess I build Pretty Drum Smokers...or Philly Drum Smokers (PDS).

Thanks Jeanie. I appreciate that coming from you. I bookmarked your blog when I first started out researching drum smokers since yours was one of the nicest ones I saw. I think I'm addicted to making them now. I gave two as gifts...sold 2 for $200 each...and now finally have one for myself that I'm keeping. I'm sure I'll probably make myself a few more by summer time.

LOL...I know the finished picture wasn't the best. It was a 14.5lb turkey and in the finished picture the legs were still on the smoker when I took the picture. I was too busy with other stuff to get more pics.
