Default Christmas turkey/ham

It was time to try a turkey on the UDS today. Also decided to have a back up in case for some reason it didn't turn out so threw a spiral sliced ham next to it.

Ran it at 300-325 for about 4 1/2 hours then rested for 30 min before slicing. Buttered the skin twice and came out nice and crispy.

Didn't get a finished shot but a couple during the cook but it indeed came out awesome. Rave reviews from the clan. Hard to beat that.

Well, to quote my nephew....

"You can smoke my turkey any time!"

The picture doesn't really do it justice, cell phone camera.
