This weekend we are celebrating Christmas and my task for this weekend was to smoke a ham and some turkey legs.
If I'm going to smoke I might as well fill the CG. So I made up some venison sausage (These packets are left over from a cook I did on the 30th of Nov. I know no pic's, didn't happen. But they were jalapeno venison sausage mmmmm.... very tasty) 2nd grind to blend seasonings Stuffing the sausages 8 Lbs of Sausages mmmmmmmm What a great day to smoke 32 degrees outside. I realy like turkey thighs so did some of those, and eveything on the smoker. Sprayed the legs and thighs with Apple juice every hour. Turned the venison sausage every hour. Venison sausage blooming (will let rest at room temp for 2 hours). Then in the fridge to rest overnite. Looking foreward to tasting in the mourning A pic of everything off the grill and resting. Well Phubar, I only use mine for a 2nd grind, I have a power grinder but the opening is too small for doing a second grind. But it sure grinds things fast.
