If you can read two differant temps at the same time, I'd buy.

Yes it will, that's why I use the under appreciated, super stealth mod GREY thermapen .

Back on topic - personally I don't care for the pre-set temps on that model, the ET-73 is a lot better unit for only a few bucks more.

What Rookie 48 said is correct. Buy the ET-73.

I have two. They are decent for monitoring general temps. If I want to see if my stuff is in "the area", I keep a probe in. Then I check the real temp with my badass RED Thermapen.

With the dual probes, they work great for the UDS. Use one probe for pit temp, and the other for meat temp.

I have one of those, not sure if its the 7 or 73 but I love it, works great for roasts and prime rib. I did a crossrib roast yesterday and pulled at 130 and it was awesome. One probe in the meat and the other in the kettle. When it rains I set the remote receiver and monitor temps from inside while I sit warm by the fire. Yesterday I actually said out load, "best forty bucks i ever spent". had it for about 3 years now. Enjoy.

I got a Taylor 2 probe cheaper...but it only goes up to 300 until it HHH's on me. I: would like a thermapen...but I really like the two probe taylor on my UDS...on is grate temp, the other is meat temp. It was alot cheaper, and if it HHH on me, I bring her down to 225 any way, i dont cook much above 300, but i need something to read over 300.

Not a bad deal. I started out with the single probe that I received about 8 years ago for a Christmas present...still works good. Then I got the 73- meat probe and pit thermo about a year ago...works ok, but the cables aren't near as hearty as the older one.
Also picked up a super fast RED Therma-pen in the last year....very seldom use the remote probes now...mainly because I've become pretty familiar with what I'm doing and don't hover over them like a nervous nanny...just know to check them after a couple of hours with the Therma-pen. But they are handy in inclimate weather.

Over all....I'd give it a thumbs up.... either that or save your money for super fast Therma-Pen...
