Default Celebrate good times!

Last night, we had a little American Royal celebration at Chez Plowboy. Guests included Kim & Andy, Randy & son Brandon, Steph & Brent from the Slabs, and Val from the Slab Chicks.

Menu
Apps - Bacon Wrapped Salmon Bites, Buttermilk Bleu Cheese, Soft Goat Cheese

Salad - Grilled Romaine with Parmigiano Reggiano and olive oil/balsamic

Entree - Fillet Mignon with spicy crab salad & baked golden potatoes with white cheddar cream sauce, bacon and broccoli

Dessert - Triple layer chocolate cake with espresso and Ghirardelli Chocolate

Several California wines including a 1997 Merlot and a 2009 bottle of champagne given to us by Squeal of Approval after our American Royal win.

It was a great evening with great food, great wine, and great friends. A wonderful way to cap off the most amazing BBQ week in our career.

Fillets were seasoned with Bovine Bold and espresso grounds. A GREAT combination.

The cake is from a new America's Test Kitchen book that just came out. Audrey got it at Costco this week. It took about a half day to make, but it is amazing. Most challenging dessert I've ever made.
