Got up before the dogs this morning and fired up a chimney of charcoal. Almost ready to dump it in the bandera. Gonna throw on 2 porkloins, about 8 lbs each. Got 1 rubbed down with southern flavor, and the other with my basic rub I use when doing a pig. Probably spray down with apple juice. and cook with hickory and cherry. Can't get too hungry though, I geuss this will be an all day thing.

Whole pork loins are presently $1.49/pound locally. Did a 15 pounder yesterday cut into thick chops to keep it from being an all-day thing.. Terayaki marinade with some mango-habenero sauce thrown in for a kick.

Also did a rack of turds for appetizers using pickled hot cherry peppers stuffed with a mix of mossarella, parmasan & bread crumbs topped with a slice of homemade italian sausage.

Unfortunately I did not cooking this weekend. All yard work, closed the pool, refilled the hottub and was just able to slip and an hour riding in the country.

Guess that turkey breast is going to have to sit in the fridge till next weekend. Hmm...maybe get some bbs to go with it. :D

Loins were spectacular. Still scraping the drippings off of my chin. Fantastic day! Tons of yard work completed, great food, won 2 squares on the local bears pool(50 per quarter), and oh yeah, what was the other thing? Oh my god! the bears won! Great day!

Sorry about your Raiders bill. Not really, but it is the polite thing to say. I made a bet last weekend with a guy that the bears would win the superbowl. I put up 10 bucks and he gave me 1,000 to 1 odds. If it happens(which it won't), that's 10,000 dollars to my 10 bucks.

Oh, and geuss what? The cubbies are ahead right now 2 to 0.

Today and tomorrow are gonna be even nicer. Hey Neil, I suggest you don't leave that turkey in the frige all week. Suggest you freeze it or do the right thing and take tomorrow off.

It's in the freezer. Guess I'll put it back in the fridge maybe Thursday to thaw.
