With regards to creating a memorable and effective team logo, what does the Brethren feel is a better choice, in house, or paying for it?

It depends on how artistic one feels.

If the name of your team is the Pink Penis then I say stay in house, if not then paying a pro might be the way to go.

Depends on what you want to do with it. If it's *just* a team logo, it's a different proposition than if you plan to go commercial and the logo will end up being part of your branding.

I also agree with those above that it depends on your art skills and/or design savvy, as well as how serious you are about as DivaHerself said, "going commercial".
