Default Pork Turn-in Box

Hello Brethren,

We competed in our first sanctioned event this past weekend in the Blue Springs Blazeoff. We had never turned in pork before and our box ended up looking horrible. Do you have any pics that you could post of boxes that have done well?

I appreciate your help.

Hopefully you'll get more than a few turn-in box pictures. What judges look for are:
Appearance, pork should be in there neatly (not just dumped in), so it's probably all
going the same way. Should be able to see smoke ring (redness), bark, as well as
plain pulled pork. Dont overload the top with all of one type or another. Mix it up.
Fill the box. Not overloaded, but not empty/light either. If too little, the box looks
skimpy.

Started competing in chili cookoffs back in the 1990's and have competed in more than I care to count. I became a CBJ in MiM in 2005, then MBN and in GBA in 2010. I've probably judged 130+- BBQ comps (sanctioned and unsanctioned) over this time. That said, I really enjoy competing more than I enjoy judging, and hope to get back to doing 4 or 5 a year in the near future.
