Default Cooking Help in STL "Grilling"

I have a simple request. I was asked over the weekend to cook for a event a the church this Saturday. It is just simple hamburgers Hot Dogs and Brats. Anybody interested in helping a brother out. I just know the people that try to cook can Jack up boiling water. The beer cooler will runeth over for sure if that will help make up your mind.... Thanks I am thinking 2 hours maybe and we could do shifts if there are enough people.

Hmmm, free beer. Grilling. I'd love to help. It's the 18 hour/1300 mile commute that's holding me back. I'm sure some Brothers or Sisters in the area will come to your aid. Take some pron so we can enjoy the church even too!

Sorry, semi-off topic, but the statements "church event" and "plenty of beer" in the same sentence make me realize I grew up in the Bible Belt. Even after almost 15 years in Minnesota, where the beer flows at every event, it just seems strange to be drinking at a church sponsored event.

Not wrong. I'm not trying to put ayone down. Just thinking out loud how different my childhood must have been from "the norm"

Good luck with your cook. Show 'em how it should be done!!

No, I wouldn't call drinking beer at church events "the norm." And I kinda doubt they were talking about actually drinking at the event.

Prolly should have used Parish/comunity social event. The parishioners after they worship after 5pm mass saturday night are invited to come up to the ball fields where the Mens Club sponsors a "BBQ" event. Hamburgers hotdogs, brats with sides. Yes there will be beer there for sale. The volunteers can have some for thier donation of time. The older people sit around under thee canopy trying to sove world problems. Younger adults volunteer while kids run around playing laughing giggling on the ballfields. Its is also a time where our pastor will come up and bless the ballfields for the upcoming soccer season. No not every church event has alchohol just the social ones. No harm done......

Ooohhh, it's a Catholic church event. That makes sense then. I'm just messing with you.

The joke here is to have a Catholic Wedding you have to have 4 things:

A Bride
Roast Beef
Muscoli
A bar
