Default As requested, New Pro Series Kettle Lower Grates!



This grate is 17" round, made from 3/16" steel to withstand the intense heat that causes the standard weber bottom grate to fail in months, This grate will last you years!

I will tell you that getting this much steel in the kettle (top and bottom grate combined) makes for a really hot machine! Running as a smoker, it gives thermal mass to create even temps.

Yeah I got that impression from the long cook you got with your top grate on the butt you recently cooked. I figure the bottom plate will work in the same manner. With both I'm sure the benefit is really noticable.

Does the bottom plate also turn the awesome colors of the top plates once heated?

Do you have a picture of it in the actual kettle?

I have one cook in my kettle with the new bottom plate. Right now it's just a little dirty gray. I just cooked some chicken wings on it. I could grease it up nice and get it black like the top one. I will go out and shoot a pic of it all dirty right now! (even though I'm sick and coughing up my lungs lol)

You'll notice both pictures the grates are dirty and used. The lower grate where it got oil from the cook, turned a nice black.
