Fatty Ideas?
My local meat nirvana (Fareway) has their fresh brat patties on sale this week for $1.99 lb. Wife suggested a using them to make a "german fatty", stuffing the brat meat with onions and some sauerkraut. Maybe a touch of spicy brown mustard inside as well. Whaddya think?
They also have their fresh "pork and bacon burger" patties on sale. These are killer on the grill as they are, with the perfect balance of ground pork and bacon.I think they'd make for a great fatty. Any ideas for a stuffing? Thanks, Chris |

I wouldn't stuff the mustard inside, it loses it's flavor while cooking. I would put a little mustard on the outside when done, or maybe a little bit on top of the slices?
As for the pork and bacon one....I'm thinking Bacon Explosion!

I have done one like a ruben - sauerkraut, swiss, and thousand island dressing - very tasty. Drain the kraut well.

How about a Thanksgiving Fattie. Sausage, deli turkey, stuffing, brown gravy, homemade cranberry bbq sauce. No taters though.
