Default New Braunsfels Bandera Built In

Has anyone built in a New Braunsfels Bandera into an outdoor kitchen? I was thinking about building in wrapped in stone.

Just my opinion: buy something made with heavier steel; 1/4 or 3/8ths inch. A "built in" is a decision you live with for many (many) years. It will cost more money but it will outlast you and in the long run be cheaper than replacing the Bandera in 5 years.

Again, just my $0.02.

if you are going through the time, effort, and expense of doing an outdoor kitchen I agree with Bgreeson. You will be much happier with a heavier, more solidly built cooker imo (I learned cooking on the bandera back when this board first started and is where I got the sealing and baffle mods). Good luck!
