O'Town BBQ Showdown, Ottumwa IA, June 12-13
Anyone doing this first year contest? A bit pricey maybe for an unknown?
How many teams do they have?

In the end we decided to give this one a try. Looking forward to getting back to chicken and brisket this weekend
 I was the 22nd team when I signed up last Wednesday.Spanky are you in? Any other brothers?

This was a very well run contest. The organizers did a great job for their first year. Free ice, fast awards, good electric and water. We did find out that the parking lot can NOT handle a hard and fast rain. The water was over 6 inches deep in the front of my spot about 3 am. Another inch and it was going to be in the firebox of my Fatboy
 (yes that is my cooler floating away) As for the results they we were middle of the road with a 12th overal...I think Spanky was 14th. We will go back next year

Way to go to all the Brethren who walked. That water does not look good Joe. Next year you should definitely bring your canoe. ;-)
After what I have heard about this contests' virgin year, I think we will add it for next year.
