I just stumbled across this place today when searching for info on homemade smokers. I was at a family gathering this weekend where someone was smoking a couple briskets for the meal. I was impressed at the results. They used a smoker bought from HD and said he was going to build a permanent smoker now after getting addicted to using that one.
I have an 18" Weber kettle we played around with some cooking some ribs and whole chickens and loved the results but never really thought about trying to "smoke" with it. After what I read around here so far thats going to have to happen, and maybe just maybe get around to building a UDS. Those are really appealing to me.:lol:
