I've been toying around with some different sauces or variations of sauces for Chicken, but haven't really come up with one that WOW's me.
What's your favorite sauce that you use on chicken (if you do use one)?

My "go-to" chicken recipe/method is one I got from Bryan S on the WSM (Virtual Bullet) board. He calls it "Roadside Chicken"
Here's the recipe from his original post. He usually uses skin on, bone in thighs and cooks them direct over med/med hi heat, but I've cooked all sorts of chicken using this and they all smell and taste great! ROADSIDE CHICKEN 1 cup white vinegar 1/2 cup veg oil (omit oil from marinade, but use for basting sauce) 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce 1 TBS Sea or Kosher salt 1 TBS white sugar 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp white pepper 1/2 tsp celery salt Mix/shake till well dissolved. You can marrinate the chicken in the sauce for 2-8 hrs before cooking. If so discard marinade and make fresh for the cooking sauce. I apply the sauce every 5 min to both sides and turn every 5-10 min. Apply one final coating 5 min before removing from the grill. You can't put too much sauce on while grilling. It will build up a nice layer of flavors. Add one small piece of apple wood while grilling also.

this turns out really thick. it is sweet with a slight taste of bbq sauce and very sticky with a touch of hotness
1 cup apricot preserves 1/2 cup bbq sauce (try & use one that is neutral and not overpowering) 1/2 cup dried apricots, minced very small 1 tsp habanero hot sauce (use your favorite here or omit) or i use 1/2 tsp fresh minced scotch bonnets bring all ingredients to a slow boil, turn down and simmer until dried apricots are soft and rehydrated. if you want it a little thinner, add a little bit of apple cider vinegar if you let this cool, it will turn to a jelly texture.

No sauce for me. Just rub it with some Plowboys and smoke it.
