Thumbs up First call - thanks ya'll!

While it may seem trivial to get excited over an 8th place call, it was our first and I have to say it was a direct result of info gleaned from the Brethren forums. I'm still amazed by the amount of information shared by competition teams here and would like to take this opportunity to say THANKS!!

Our team doesn't get to cook very often due to my work schedule. We're lucky to do 2-3 comps/year and it would have taken us forever to figure some of these methods out on our own. We got our call on chicken at this weekend's Smoke in the Spring at Osage City, KS. We finished 22nd overall and met some great folks along the way. My only regret is that we did not get to meet many of the Brethren who were there as we got in late since I had a senior moment and had to go back to KC for the canopy connectors I forgot to pack!

Anyway, thanks again everyone here for sharing, thanks to the folks at Osage who run a great contest and if ya'll ever see the Fullwood Bros' camp stop on in and say hey. We owe ya!

Way to go! Chicken is the toughest of the 4 meats in my opinion! Keep up the good work, you are really gonna dig that 1st first!
