Default First UDS Build

Found 55 gallon drums for 5.00 and got a chance to build over the weekend. Big thanks to all, especially Norco. I used the step by step guide and it worked like a champ. Here are a few pics...ok a lot of pics... sorry

setting up

Third Drum added to the mix

We have fire

Son got home from work and started his

more fire

Rain delay. Used the time for a little smoking in an older rig under shelter

after the wire wheel the next day

All valves and thermometer added

4 hrs into the seasoning run...holding tight at 200

Made real coal basket tonight...ready to rock!

Makes me want to go build my third, but that would never get past the master planner (wife). She protested the first, what really unhappy the second....

I'm happy with the two....
