Default **Hibachi Pot**

Meet Jim!

Jim and his wife Shirley are downsizing and moving into a condo and he cannot bring his beloved Hibachi Pot Kamado that he has lovingly cooked many family meals in the 40 years he has owned it!

His grown kids did not want it and he offered it for $15 on craigslist, and I eagerly took posession of one of the most well maintained Japanese claypots that I've come across in the soggy Seattle area!

It is a Large 18" grill.

Jim would have made a good Brethren! So add "Hibachi" to your craigslist keyword searches!

My dad was stationed in Tachikawa (see sticker on your Hibachi) in 1960. That is what we used to bbq on. Although since I was 3, I only remember from pics and storys. Sweet find.

Wow does that bring back memories. My dad was also in the Military and brought back one of those for our backyard grill. He would soak the coals with gasoline before lighting, so it was always a big show for me. Of course, the gasoline probably gave me brain damage, so that explains a few things.

Great score. Jim seems like a great guy. A couple of nice smoked meat deliveries to his condo might be in order.
