Default Greetings - and the DBS project I decided to tackle!

Hello to all - what an AWESOME forum!!

I recently returned back to the frigid North from an utterly delicious trip down to Birmingham, Alabama - and, although the temperature is still in the teens here in Detroit (...ugggh), it was the final inspiration I needed to tackle building my first smoker.

Not exactly the handiest of fellas, but I'm quite happy to report that it is coming along much better than I anticpated!

Still have to connect the barrel collars with stovepipe, install some grates, and locate some fire brick - but it is certainly coming along!

I'm hoping it will be able to get up to 250 with the single flue (the Vogelzang stuff isn't exactly cheap!) but we shall see...

So what do you think thus far?!??!?!?

Welcome to the forum. I can't tell what part you did on the smoker, but it looks very interesting and well done.
