Hello everyone! Name is Brian... I'm 32, from Garland, TX... I love to grill, am fairly good at it, and within the past couple years have REALLY wanted to learn how to smoke. I absolutely LOVE bbq, and am going to try my hand in the smokin aspect of things. I am currently in the market for a decent smoker, and thought I had my hands on a NB Bandera yesterday for $50, but alas... I was 10 mins too late! (story of my life... LOL). I have spent the last 3-4 months researching the $200-$400 range, and would love any and all input on what to look for and where.

Well... glad to be here and I hope to learn a LOT!

Just as a note, you may want to look at the UDS Thread... Cheap way to get started with some great Que!

Welcome aboard! For the price range, I would recommend a 22.5" WSM.:wink:
 
Welcome to the forum. I built my own smoker out of two 55 gal drums for about $300.00
