Default Mini UDS?

Just picked up a 30gal. grease drum/w liner, good price FREE. Need to know #of holes top and bottom. Do you put 1 or 2 cooking grates?

One cooking grate and two 3/4 intakes with four 3/4 exhaust.

I would like to size the exhaust down to 1/2" on the next one though and see if it slows things down perhaps even do the two intakes at 1/2"

Dale,
I've seen those small drums, they are way small. Is it worth it?

Question

Dale, will a 30 gallon drum take an 18" Weber grate and Kettle top?
Been thinking about doing one.
My #2 Kamado with a 14" grate isn't really large enough for much.

Cowgirl has a great looking mini. Here is a link to her blog which shows what it looks like. There are some good ideas there. I don't think she will mind me posting it here.

Dang, you may be right. i have always thought it was a mini -- but now that you say that and I take a closer look I am probably wrong.
