Build a UDS. Under $50.

Weber OTG is great as well. You'll have it for years. Extremely versatile.

Before I bought my WSM, a Weber one touch was all I smoked on. I still on occasion, this past Christmas, use it if my WSM is full.

Smoking can be done on a QTG with good results, but if smoking is your main objective I would buy a WSM.

I've smoked on my Weber for years, just takes a little practice, keep them clean and they'll last a lifetime! Well worth the money.

Well figure it this way they started making the Weber kettles in the mid fifties and folks are still grilling and smoking on them to this day. That's gotta mean something. Who else can make that claim? Not many!

Weber Gold would be a good investment. Well made and you can cook just about anything. Get a cover for it and it will last years!

The OTG is about the most versatile charcoal BBQ you can get. If you already have a smoker and are looking for something to grill on as well as light smoke, you can't go wrong with an OTG...

I agree...the OTG is THE most versatile grill/smoker. I have done many briskets, ribs, butts...and everything in between. It turns out the same quality Q as the big boys. I use mine several times a wekek, couldnt imagine life w/out a ketlle.

Correcting myself, I see you want a smoker. As mentioned already, build a UDS!
