Default Monday: Excuse to grill and post PRON

Nothing says BBQ like snow and January... Well, technically it snowed yesterday, but there was still some on the ground and it was hovering around freezing when it came time to cook.

Here's the booty: grilled chicken breasts (3 varieties) and SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed) bananas. Mmm..., good eatin'!

Bananas almost got some leftover rib rub on them, but the spousal unit dispensed with some great advice before I could mess them up. Her old family recipe was to pull off a bit of the peel (easier if you start at the bottom end), spread a little bit of butter on each banana, and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Wrap them in foil, stick them on the grill (I just put them on after the chicken was done and left them until we finished the main course) until they are soft, open and enjoy.

Looking back on it, I suppose the garlic in the rib rub wouldn't have been too tasty on them, but we will be trying a batch with brown sugar, cayenne, and chili powder at some point in the future. Yeah, we're a bit nuts up here...

I suppose I should be embarrassed by how filthy that kettle is, but it is a testament to how much use it gets. I don't call it old faithful for nuttin...
