Default New UDS - Ballistic_Tip style

Started on my UDS:
Burning the paint.

Paint (guess the theme)

This is what's left of the inside coating. It started as the orangey/tan liner. After I burned the outside, it turned mostly black with a splattering of orange. So I need to take all of this down with a wire wheel?

No!! Pay someone else to do it. It will be money well spent.

Just kidding. Yeah, you should get it to bare metal before you cook in it. In which case the above may be a good idea after all.

On Edit: Don't worry about painting the outside until you get the inside where you want it.

I love the 2" bung on the bottom and I would be VERY tempted to throw an elbow and a 2" ball valve in it.

Have the coating sand blasted. It will be some of the best money you ever spend.
