Default A little WSM competition?

I saw this at Home Depot last night.

Anybody have any experience with it? They were selling for $99. Material seemed comparable to WSM. Didn't have time to really inspect it.

Comments?

Kinda cool looking. I can't afford another 18.5 much less the new 22.5 WSM. This might be worth a look if it doesn't need a ton of mods!

CB site has em for 199. Half price at HD is not bad at all.

It says Char Broil on it therefore I will never buy it.

Their customer service stinks ... so I choose to go elsewhere.

Just my two cents.

Doesn't that bottom rack look too close to the fire for a smoker? Or do I see a water pan in between the rack and the charcoal?

I like them in that they fit together tighter than the ECB yet cost half that of the WSM. I have only seen them online and have been to HD quite a bit lately. I'll keep looking.

If the construction of that is anything like the construction of their 'kettles', a WSM will outlast it fourfold. I saw another WSM knockoff at BBQs Galore last weekend. Same issue.

Hmmmmm, I wonder if the center ring would fit a WSM?

Catch a WSM on sale for a little more dough and eliminate the headaches.
