Default Tomatillos

Brother Mark shared his tomatillo crop with me.He also sent along some of his peppers. I'll be busy making up Salsa Verde this weekend. Mark suggested making a Verde base that can be used in green chiles, tomato salsa, and enchilada sauces. Going for charred tomatillos, peppers, onions, and garlic. Never made up this big of a bulk batch, but should be fun!
What a great site and gruop this is. Thank You Mark.

Nice!!! You could even make bases for each additional ingredient and combine later. P.S. I haven't forgotten about that pecan I promised ya! The kids won't give me some time to myself!

Here's hoping that this doesn't contribute to tomatillos becoming more popular! I haven't had time to tend a garden for the last several years, and it's hard enough to find enough of them that are of decent quality as it is!

Very nice. I never got off my lazy arse long enough this year to grow my own, but (if we sell our house & get in a new one) next spring it'll be on!!! Square foot gardening a salsa/spaghetti garden, with some experimental upside down tomatillos.
